An Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Meter is a device used to measure static electricity, which is the build-up of electrical charges on the surface of materials. Static electricity can be problematic in environments where sensitive electronic equipment is used, as even a small electrostatic discharge can damage components. Such electrostatic charges can be found with the radioactivity meter. The radioactivity meter is therefore used for checking in ESD-protected production workshops. The measuring range of the radioactivity is ±60 kV DC.

The current battery charge is displayed by the ESD meter via the battery status indicator.
